Basic Hat Pattern
Note: Choose a color yarn that will blend with the yarn you are using for hair.
Example: Black hair use black yarn for hat.
Sometimes I will use dishcloth cotton if I can find it in the color I need. The cotton breathes a little and helps with all that acrylic yarn on your head!

Note: This hat is 80 % made of crocheted chains of various lengths and about 20% of yarn cut and attached to hat. If you want some straight strands in your hair, this is the easiest way to make them. When making your chain make sure you have a 2 inch tail. When chain is desired length, cut your yarn to the same length as your chain, this makes quick work of adding your chained lengths and straight pieces at the same time. You do not need to add the straight pieces on every chain length you make, unless you want too!
Note: You can take a piece of yarn to place on your hat as a filler. Measure the desired length and double that amount.
Decorate Your Hair!!!
Have fun! Add colorful beads! Add gold beads for a very bling-bling look! There are so many ideas to for personalizing this hat! You can add beads before you attach the hair or afterwards.
Note: When adding beads to this hat you can easily string a bead on your length of chain, put as many as you like. It is quick and easy to do.
For Your Information;
This hat was made with leftover worsted acrylic yarn approximately 3 ounces, a size J hook and leftover black yarn to make the beaded hair pieces.
