Hats Always On My Head!

It's so great to have you visit my hat blog!

My goal is to showcase the potential of even the most novice crocheter to be able to stitch together the most beautiful beanies, berets, and brain-warmers they never dreamed possible!

Please share your photos so I may place them on my Flickr page and here on this blog! I'm looking forward to sharing your hats with others and I just love to see what you have created!

Happy Anniversary to Me and You!

Happy Anniversary to me and you!

August 7, 2010

I was sitting at my computer with butterflies in my tummy!

I sat staring at Blogger on my monitor trying to talk myself into creating this blog! Who really wants to know how to make my basic hat? What if no one looks at it? I was such a shy, big chicken crocheter!

But I did it!

I created it.

Then…

I had a panic attack…

“What have I done!”

Then...

I ate some chocolate and felt somewhat better.

It’s been a challenge to create hats while spending 42 to 55 hours a week with mom. She is always on the move and getting crochet time there is difficult to find. I manage to squeeze in an hour while she is eating her meals unless she forgets how to pick up her spoon and then I feed her.

I want to thank you for your support. You will never know how much that means to me. You have given me confidence, you have been patient, and all of you mean so much to me.

Updates for the blog.

I have made some changes and I will continue to improve as I learn more of what I am doing! I will be rewriting all the patterns and putting them back on again. The only changes will be minor errors that do not affect making the hat. I have read all of them and only found tiny things wrong like comma’s missing, misspelled words, ect…

I will leave the original pattern on line. Please be patient with me. I only have about 140 days left to complete gifts for the residents at the nursing home. I will be putting more hats up in the next few days! I’m really excited about my new hats!

Hugs,

Sherry
