Hats Always On My Head!

It's so great to have you visit my hat blog!

My goal is to showcase the potential of even the most novice crocheter to be able to stitch together the most beautiful beanies, berets, and brain-warmers they never dreamed possible!

Please share your photos so I may place them on my Flickr page and here on this blog! I'm looking forward to sharing your hats with others and I just love to see what you have created!

Version 39, Moving Part!

Basic Hat Pattern

Version 39

"Moving Part"

Once you put this hat on you can move it around to the position that suits you! I
have several pictures to show you how it can look!

You can let the hat hang down the back of your neck to hold all
your hair!

Another view of the side. You don't have to tuck your hair inside
just let it hang out!

Front view.

Other side view.

It really is big! I can't get my other pics on! It keeps saying corrupt file!
I will take them again this weekend!

Make pom-pom and attach to center of hat.

Chose color desired for pom-pom or mix the two colors for a different effect!

Note:

Pom-pom can be made any size you desire. I chose a very large size. It tends to flop around and I think I will make a smaller one next time.

This hat can be worn many different ways! Experiment with having it hang down in the back, pull it up and over to the right side for a more beret style effect, or put it on the left side hanging down low. Experiment! You can even stuff it with toilet paper if you want to look like you have more hair!

For Your Information:

Hat was made from leftovers of Red Heart Yarns red and gold. I used a size J hook.

Notes:
This hat was made with acrylic yarn. I would not wear a hat made out of acrylic during the summer months. It’s great for keeping you warm in the cold months but I doubt it will keep you cool in the hot months! I would find a good quality cotton yarn to make this hat with.

I doubt this hat will protect you from the summer sun. That’s why I called it Summer Sunburn!

For Your Information:

This hat was made with Red Heart’s Yellow and Perfect Pink. I used a size I hook.

News!

Hi everyone!

Thank you for being patient with me. It is difficult to complete projects in a timely manner because of my mom changing so much at the nursing home. She's having her ups and downs and I have them right along with her.

I will be putting up at least 3 more hats over the next couple of weeks. They will be similar to this one I just put up. One will be a slouchy hat and the others are a surprise!
